Macy's NYC

A couple of subway stops uptown drops me outside the New Yorker Hotel and 34th Street.

Walking along the busy 34th Street for a block takes me to Macy's famous department store.

It's under heavy renovation at the moment, especially on the first two floors. Fortunately the wonderfully ricketty wooden escalator is still in operation.

I get a very nice Tommy Hilfiger linen jacket for $59.15. Apart from that, the items are pretty much recommended retail and not far from Perth or online Australia prices.

Upstairs there is a floor for the children which has - butofcourse - designer label sections for the kiddies ...

... and its very own McDonalds.
